Movie Review: Alpha and Omega
Another amazing movie, and one of my favourites, Alpha and Omega is a 3D animated howling good movie about two wolves, Kate; an alpha wolf and daughter of Winston, the alpha-male and Humphrey; An Omega that's in love with Kate. It also contains other characters such as Marcel; A golf playing duck that be-friends Kate and Humphrey, Paddy; Marcel's Caddy, Winston; Kate's father, and leader of the pack, Eve; Winstons mate, Tony; The Eastern-Pack leader (rival of Winston), Lily; Kate's Omega sister, Garth; Tony's son, alpha wolf and Kate's future husband and there are a few more characters too!
After taken from the pack to "repopulate" in Idaho, Kate and Humphrey are on a top-heavy adventure on their journey back home! They interfere with Golf-playing ducks, Grizzly Bears, Storms, RV Rides and also train rides! Allthough back at there pack in Jasper Park, where Kate should have been getting married to the rival packs' Alpha to re-unite the packs, the packs are in a war within if Kate is getting hidden by Winston so she can't get married or if the Eastern-Pack wolves have taken her! In the end, Kate and Humphrey realize (moral) that even opposites can make a great team!
The animation is just as good as any other animated movie. The problem is that, the movie is made for 3-D glasses or viewing, so if you get it on DVD, you get a bit paranoid about the...I dont know, lets just say 3-D madenship (sorry I made up that word!). But overall its a great movie to watch at night or during the day (I watch it at night though). They also exaggerate the howling, so they sing when they howl. Its quite funny! But unlike some movies, its quite fake. Eg. Speedy Running, Getting things from nowhere/behind their backs. But its probably in the comedy genre. Also, any age can watch this movie! My mum has watched it and she loved it! Ha ha.
I think you'll have a howling good time watching Alpha and Omega. I know I did! ; )
★★★☆☆ (I kinda give it 3 1/2 stars, but I can't do that here)

I thought the howling turned singing was a cute creative twist; we mustn’t forget that this is a childrens movie so every bit doesn’t have to make sense, i.e. talking wolves. I loved the animation. I work for DISH and have recently made the transition to HD programming so the quality of the animation was evident. Overall, I’d say the movie was a hit. It had my kids running around the house howling all day.
