Movie Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks 1
Alvin and the Chipmunks 1 is a very funny, musical, high-pitched wonder directed by Tom Hill! It is a well-made comedy genre for the whole family. It is animation over real action, and very realistic! It is a well remake from the 1958 show! It contains, from the show, Dave; The Chipmunks Carer/Father, Alvin; The main Chipmunk from the trio, Simon; The smart nerd from trio, and Theodore; the youngest, 'plumpest' chipmunk from the trio. There are also some new characters: Ian Hawke & Claire Wilson.
One day The Chipmunks get transported from their woodland habitat to the city, where they wind up in the home of Dave Seville. Dave, a down-on-his-luck songwriter, realizes the potential of a singing chipmunk pop act, and becomes an unlikely mentor/father figure to feisty Alvin, brainy Simon, and dopey Theodore. Meanwhile, the threesome causes chaos in his life, leading to plenty of fun, frenetic scenarios. When a devious record executive enters the picture, however, Alvin and the Chipmunks must deal with both the trappings of fame and their loyalty to the amiable, hapless Dave.
The voice acting of the chipmunks is extraordinary! They have great emotion and perfect pitch. Also, the actors of Alvin and the Chipmunks are exemplary! Cuz if you try and watch the movie, ignoring the chipmunks, you can see how well the humans have tried to imagine they're there! And don't forget, they're really talking to nothing!
My LEAST favourite chipmunk is Simon because he thinks he's so smart. He's actually quite dumb! So overall, my favourite chipmunk(s) are a tie! I like both Alvin and Theodore. Alvin, although just thinks of himself, is very funny in personality! He's also a good decider and he has a good level of love. Theodore...He's just so cute! He loves food, and loves his brothers very much! Comment what your favourite chipmunk is!
Alvin and the Chipmunks is a funny, musical film for the whole family! Especially if your an old 'munk fan!
My rate: ★★★★✰
